My plan is that I will change it in another 2 years - #1-Chrysler Crossfire - If I keep working. #2-Some form of People Carrier. #3- Nissan Narvara or similar..

All depends if I keep working or take Early retirement (but will still carry on working for myself)

I've been driving for about at least 8 years now.

Cars I've owned in order (ownership time)
Ranking with 1 being the best

'82 Nissan Birdblue (~1 year 6 months)
4
'96 Hyundia Lantra station wagon (~6 months.... opps)
3
'83 Ford Laser hatch (~2 years)
5
'97 Rover 400 (~3 years)
2
'01 Rover 75 (~1 year to present)
1

So... at this point in my life I've now owned Rovers longer than any other brands of cars put together. And long may Rover reign as I've no plans to update anytime soon..

Although I ranked my Birdblue #4, she was my first car & I loved her all the same.

Been driving for 47 years so too many cars to list. First was a 1937 Morris 8 bought for £15. Rarest was the 9th of 10 pre-production Sunbeam Tigers which I sold in c.1970 for £350 and is now owned by a farmer in Scotland and worth around £30,000.

Other notable cars were a 1967 Jaguar S-type (3.8 engine) and, my wife's favourite, a 1980 Vauxhall Royale Coupe (a re-badged Opel Monza). Then there's the 1972 Triumph 2.5 that I've owned since 1975 and still greatly enjoy driving - now with 220,000 miles on the clock.

Difficult to say which was best, they each had their good and bad points. If I had to choose one as the most enjoyable to drive, it would have to be the 1992 BMW 5-Series Tourer that I sold when I bought the R75. The Rover (2003 CDTi Conn saloon) is fairly well up the list though, and it cost £10,000 less than the BMW when new.

Metro Turbo, was it standard mccano?

My friend had the head on his swapped for a stage 2 and the wastegate opened to 11psi. (Standard was 4psi)

Full Janspeed exhaust inc manifold down pipes, over jetted carb and K&N intake system all done by Avonbar.

Result was, all I can say is you had to drive it. It is to this day, the fastest car I have ever driven off the line and to 90mph.

The handlling was wicked also

Damn, we miss it !

MG ZTs rule

Bought a brand new ZT 190+ back in 2003 as I loved its looks and the fact it was a V6 .

I really fancied a Saab 9-3 Aero as my ZT had tall mileage so I sold it late last year and bought a 55 plate Saab I had dreamed about. That was a big mistake as even though it was very quick it lacked character and didn't inspire confidence when pressing on (soggy handling, rubbish brakes). It was also a bit cheap and nasty in the fixtures and fittings department considering it was a £25k car (when new, I bought it second hand).

Kept the Saab for only 5 months and I am now the proud owner of another ZT190+. I was also up on the deal as the dealer gave me cash back.

ZTs are just so full of character and built to last as I have experienced very few problems.

They are also a rare site nowadays so they are a bit individual as well.
