Hi guys. New here. Own a rover 400 diesel, year 2001. Replaced a sticking thermostat today thinking it would cure my heater problems. Alas I'm no further on. I can feel heat at the vents but there is next no no air coming out. My blower only works on setting 3 and 4. I wouldn't mind that if anything came out lol. What could be blocking the airf anything at all? Answers appreciated please.

The heater resistor pack has failed, so the heater fan is not working on lower speeds. Common problem, easy fix.
Either buy this:-

or this:-

depending on your ability.

Edit/ Missed the fact that nothing is coming out even on 3 and 4. As Chrisund123 says below, you have probably do have a blockage, so clear that first, as this could be the cause of the resistor pack failure.
Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. Removed the pollen filter and hey presto it's blowing great now. Don't think it's as warm as it should be mind you. Might have to bleed the system. Had my therm replaced yesterday and in wondering if there is still some air that needs to work its way out.

Another issue I have is cold mornings. The car isn't hard to start but what it seems to be doing is not firing on all cylinders for a while until it warms up. At least that's what my uncle told me when he had it one cold morning. I'm wondering should I be worried or can this be fixed cheaply?
