Hi , i have a 45 diesel , and changed the battery last week , i do not have have a key fob for it and the immobilser is on and the engine wont turn over , any help will be appreciated ,im willing to buy parts to fix , a garage qouted me 700 pounds to fix it , i told him go away in short sharp jerky sexual movements , there must be a way to do this cheaper than 700
this link might be of help if you have the eka(emergency key access) code for the car it will allow you to disable the immobiliser and start the car and will continue to allow you access to the car as long as you dont use a fob to open or shut the car albeit the immobiliser will be disarmed read the 3rd post down in the link it tells you how to enter the code hope this helps
If you dont have your eka code you can purchase it from MG-ROVER-CODES on this site for about £15 a lot less than £700 this will get you mobile.then later sort yourself a couple of fobs and get them coded.
Thanks guys for the referral. Yes we can supply the EKA code within approx 15 minutes, the cost for this service is £15 (0 VAT), no need to leave the house all done online with live support or telephone support if required.
I take it this is facelift 45 then for that price £400 from me new scu and 2 new fobs
