Looks good. This one could hopefully be the making of MG on the UK market.

Looks promising. The styling references plenty of other eastern cars but it's on-trend and in a burgeoning sector. The interior certainly moves things on from the GS.

Why not change the rear design?

I wonder why they decided to change the front design from the GS which people found to be okay but not change the rear design from the GS which was not so well received?

Cheers..

Has a bit of a Kia look at the front I think.

This could be reminiscent of the MG5 wheel missing wheel arch

Just noticed that the car is missing the front plastic wheel arch.

I wonder if they are going to display the car without it like Nanjing autos did with the SZ based MG5 where the rear doors didn't have the wheel arch extensions?

Cheers..

Honda owned the IP so possibly the answer is no

According to the Nanjing auto wiki page the blueprints and some equipment were repossess after the bankruptcy of MG Rover:

MG Rover

Acquisition of MG Rover Group assets

Nanjing Auto acquired some assets of MG Rover Group and Powertrain Ltd in 2005 after the group had entered administration. According to the purchase agreement, Nanjing Auto bought MG, Austin, and some other dormant British car brands, and the production technology and equipment for the MG ZT and MG TF models. Some equipment and blueprints were repossessed by Honda, as its intellectual property is used in some of MG Rover vehicles, in particular, the Rover 45 and MG ZS, which were based on the Honda Domani.
