New to owning a rover

I am possibly going to be getting a S-reg rover 420GSi in the near future, just wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me;
Is the engine a rover or a honda lump?
Also i have heard of some people changing the suspension for MG ZS units, does that make much difference and how much does it cost?
Thanks, hopefully be speaking to you all soon as a rover owner!

The engine should be a Rover lump. The suspension on the 420 is softer compared to the ZS and maybe not as low.

I bought a new 420 saloon in 1996 and ran it for 5 years and during that time it was faultless. The only time I spent money on it was for routine servicing and replacement of tyres and the exhaust. I found the standard suspension to be a good compromise between ride and handling. The car looked and drove as well as the day I bought it when I eventually came to sell it. I only sold it because a felt it was time for a change.

(The engine is the Rover T Series)
