Recently my ZS has started to randomly lose power, and I've tracked it down to being crud floating around in the tank (priming bulb gets sucked flat).
Do I need to remove the tank to gain access to the swirl pot, or is there a service cover in the car somewhere? If I need to remove the tank, how would I do so?
God, if only there was a hatch! No, Unfortunately you have to drop the tank. First thing is to run it as empty as you can, then remove the filler neck and breather pipe. The actual fuel pipes are on the N/S and disconnct just in front of the wheel then if you look by the O/S suspension mount you will see the connecter for the fuel gauge sender. Finally, support the tank and slacken the two tank strap mounts until they can be unhooked from the body and lower the tank. Good Luck!!
yeah yeah u just got to love the taste of diesel really lol
