Wow, this is a rare car given the fact it's a 623 and a manual at the same time. Immaculate interior, very nice colour too. Cruise control interesting to see but why no foglights?

my dad had an R reg 623GSI Auto - same colours in and out too (R432BJW) and that didnt have fogs. lovely car though.

I want to get a 620Ti and dosome clever, well thought out upgrades.
Fit coilovers but set to just lower than standard height just to give me better chasis control without being obvious and a brake upgrade but made to fit behind standard wheels, poly bushing, custome exhaust with standard appearence tips and fair few more engine mods. I like a sleeper which my mondeo never will be

Okay, my introduction to the 600 platform, my '98 R reg 620 Si in Nightfire red, bought with 100k on the clock and sold on to a member on RoverTech:

For a 2.0L I didn't think it was particularly quick, certainly felt slower than my 2.0L Saab 900 XS. Anyway she had a few issues, which led me to RoverTech, where I encountered all this talk about Rover's T16 engine.

Then I turned 40, and found this 99 T reg 620 Ti in Epsom green (my mid-life crisis car ), bought for less than 400 with 76K on the clock and a know dodgy alternator:

Unfortunately the seller forget to mention that that dam turbo coolant return nipple had broken off on the rad, so within a week of buying her she was laid up whilst I changed the rad, which considering I'd never done more than pump up tyres/fill with fuel before I impressed myself.

And how she sits at the mo with her only two mods (so far); 17in Vitties and clear side repeaters:

Yeah the handbrake was bad, rear callipers replaced and now it's fine. Tracking needs adjusting also but apart from that everything works as it should. It's a lot of car for the money.

Is it rare being a 2.3 and a manual then?
I normally drive my cars to death, but this one needs to be looked after because it's too clean and mint to thrash and abuse.

My old 600 GSDi

Not sure that it exists now, but it made way for my first 75. The colour was charleston green with grey leather, I also had a Sterling Coupe in the same colour.

see http://www.freecarcheck.org/ - try. (free and legal, ie don't have to be the owner as 'askmid'). Do you know the plate the buyer put on it ? Nice colour by the way
Also http://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/interne...ry-Request.jsp (I'm assuming you kept pers number, so not sure how the history gets stored by DVLA, in theory (with your V5 re.75) this might show MOT history of the R600.
I've never transferred a plate

Tom,
That's a real beauty. There was a recent article in Classics Monthly that correctly stated that the 600 is one of those rare cars that looks good from any angle - pictures above prove the point.

I would post my SDi, but sadly she is a hack, and the weather up here is not kind to the bodywork. There is still less rust on her than most 5-year-newer cars, all the same...

Nice car and first post.

I have her now, got her from MGJohn, superb car! Only problem now is that I feel like driving her all the time I need to attend some counselling to treat the addiction. She is doing very well MGJohn.
