620ti rev issue

Hi guys and girls bit hard to explain but to the turbo out yest and when I hit boost hard and then come off the throttle my revs hold. They won't drop until I blip the Throttle any ideas ad gotta make a journey from Kent to Blackpool as am moving in the next week. I was thinking poss the stepper motor because that don't shut down for few min after I turn car off

Air leak on the joint from the throttle body to the inlet manifold. Reasonably common especially if the engine mounts have given trouble previously.

Also try a stepper motor reset as that may help

Turn ignition on - but don't start car
Depress throttle fully and release it 5 times within 5 seconds
(You should now hear a quite chuntering noise from the stepper motor)
Once this has stopped after a couple of seconds start car
Idle may wander about for a few seconds but should then stabilise.
