Is there a double switch Jeff for the driver's side incorporating the auto switch? As a Metro has a twin switch on the driver's side.

Drivers side has 2 switches in the doorcard and one on the passenger doorcard but only on early cars. On the drivers doorcard one the normal one for the passenger side the other a 'one shot' for the drivers side. After 1985 they put the switches in the centre of the lower dash in a unit and changed the 'one shot' and put it on the top of the glove box.
The 'one shot' switch is only different on opening and closing the window, you just touch it once without haviing to keep your finger on the switch, later you had to keep your finger on the button to close.
I not sure but I read somewhere at the time when this technology came out that people caught the fingers, ties and various other bits in the window as it wouldn't stop till it was closed. That's possibly why it was changed.

Got the electric windows sort of working but there must be 2 wires touching somewhere as they're not working properly, so i have started to strip the wires and once i've removed the dash I can sort it
The front nearside door sensor isn't working but all others are

I was pressing a few buttons

This is really nice! I am completely inlove with that digital dash!

My dad's Montego Estate also has some surface rust on the B-pillar... And my 213 is going that way, as the black paint (is it really painted?) is now turning grey.

Don't know how it managed 2mpg as it hasn't moved 2 miles since I bought it.
As its now at my barn I can hopefully get it on the road by July as I want to drive it this year

Had the dash out today and what a nightmare with the alarm, immobiliser in the way. The wires were wrapped round everything, still its out now.
Removed sail headlining as it got in the way

Going to have to do a mod on this as one internal light isn't enough

This is broken but I have another

Centre consol out

Been patched up previously as this screw isn't supposed to be there

I have a brand new one and this one as a spare

It's out and now no alarm

Sorting the electric window wiring out.

Got the passenger side working properly but the drivers still won't work properly so I will re-wire this and bypass the 'one shot' unit

And in with the red

Also noticed the the seats were very faded so I changed those from my spares. Rear first

Lots of differences from the early dash to a later one, later one is less cluttered

2 large cracks in the old one

No internal radio light
