100s (we never called them Metro, they were 111/114 from the beginning, and later called 100 with the restyled versions), yes, we have lots of them indeed.

The ones we call Metros (Austins), not so much. But maybe, I will have one at home, with a similar case of what happened with this 213 (no engine/gearbox, but I have 2 extra ones at home ).

In fact, when I was almost having my driver's license, my dad was searching for a 111SL / 100 GSi, for my mom (she was driving my 213 before). But as my brother went to Germany, she started to drive his '98 Honda Civic Aerodeck (utterly piece of dull rubbish when compared to a 400/45), which will be sold to get another car. I would like a 45 Perkins (2.0TD), or a 620 SDi.
Cool, could you get photos of 114GTa and GTi models please?

This one deserves an update too!

First, it had a new radiator fitted.

After this, it went to the MoT and everything went well... Until we got home and parked it. Right when my brother was going to turn it off, ths happened:

A new radiator, which did only 10km.

We had it repaired and back it went to the 213.

Then, I tried my luck on the detailing world.

On the first stage:

Right side: done, left side: To do

On this one, left side was done:

The boot, first stage (cut)

And after the polishing stage:

Then, I washed and waxed it.

(Sorry abouth the hubcaps, I had no other which would fit, at home! :P)

And this is how I was rewarded... With a HGF.

A video made before it got repaired (notice the lwer revs hesitation, also because the engine was cold). The exhaust had the rear right silencer removed, as it was with a leak... And we wanted to see how it sounded like this way. We liked it (on the video it doesn't sound quite as well as live), and so it stayed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnOwDayPEO4

It was repaired, and I took it to the MG-Rover Clube de Portugal national meeting, last April.

Notice the new Rover hub cabs, from an early R8!

Another great car!

Now I see, my Civic is a twin from the 200 mk1!

They are absolutely identical.

You also have a mk2, the parts are the same?

Cheers!

I would love to find a MK1 213SE. I had a new one back in the Summer of 1984 so one of the very first in Monza Red.

Well, there was a restyle on the Civic which made it more similar to the 213 mk2, in the exterior (not on the interior) :P

Most of them are. I already made a thread on the MG-Rover Clube de Portugal with all the main differences I noticed between the mk1 and the mk2. I may translate it and post it here, if you want to!

A silk green? Just like mine... So, it was from 1987, right?

It is not that bad at the back, at all, I must say

My 1996 Rover 400 (I just noticed I have no thread about it) has more leg room, but the head room is more limited.

It's such a shame they are almost gone on the UK
