Depends really, I have an MG and I think it looks the dogs with it's standard wheels, but then again I have always loved the multispoke type wheels.

Aftermarket tbh mate. MG wheels are ok, well the straights are (i think the hairpins are dated n not very nice), but they are quite common. Go for something differant!

MG straights are nice, but they are everywhere now. I liked the Hairpins to start with, but i'v grown to dislike them.
IMO i would go aftermarket, there are alot more different styles to choose from.

As i sed to u on MSN some of the Mg ones are nice i like the new ZS straights but other that that they all suit the cars but it is whether u want to be different or not.

They will all do the same job for handling and overall looks and mg ones will more that likely be cheaper.

Aftermarket or factory alloys?

I've never driven a car on after market alloys that drove nice, same car with factory alloys will always drive better. But then I doubt if you are going up a wheel size/down a tyre profile ride quality is going to be a prime consideration?
