Some good pics of new fiesta, with zetec s body kit

This one is currently on auto trader, its zetec s tdci.
With the optional body kit and 17" wheels it looks cracking, the spoiler and rear diffuser look great

Bad new is, this one is on for nearly 15k.... ouch. Gives us a good idea of just how awesome this car would be if they ever make an st or RS version. COME ON FORD, pull ya finger out.

Sorry but I really dont like that at all, I'd rather have a nice zed and 13k in my pocket any day tbh.

Obviously the fezza would be better equipped, more comfortable, safer, more reliable though lol.

But 15k, jesus christ. I could buy a supra, an Evo IV, tax, MOT and insure them both and my Rover for that

I wish I had 15k

tbh I think the Ibiza you were looking at looks much nicer, and the diesel would be more economical. Have you thought about a Leon (IMO they look nicer) or are you after a small car?

Seen one like this on the fezST site the other day, i must admit they have grown on me.

The centre console kills it for me though, looks like something out of a space ship.

Speaking to a guy that works at a Ford dealership and he reckons you can get a fully kitted Zetec S for about £11k, which isnt too bad compared to others out there.

Doubt i'd buy one, unless they release an RS pumping 200+ bhp and a decent audio system. Other than that it's a new FRS next year for me.

I might test pilot the new Zetec S and se if it handles well, it looks like it should stick to the floor with ease. Good to see them coming with 120ps unlike the old 100ps engines.

It has better suspension then the 1.25 version i drove, but that one handled superb, couldnt fault it. Cant beleive your going to buy a focus rs, lols.

lol i need 300bhp in my life

Honestly i dont know, i'm sick of Bigger Turbo'd car drivers being right up my arse and acting like tools. I either need to Supercharge mine or get a FRS.

Supercharging mine would bring it too about 250bhp, not many people would expect that tbh. Though the ST looks quite sporty it'd still be quite a sleeper, i'd love to see some of the faces when you blow off such bigger performance cars.

Though Supercharging wont leave me any change out of £4-5k, due to needing bigger brakes, coillies and an ATB LSD.

I know what you mean lol, although i expect the RS to be group 20, so prepare to get bent over the table by your insurance company. The existing ST are looking like absolute bargains, there are some Full spec st-3 ones in mint condition on 05 plates going for less than 12k and some bottom spec ones for under 10k. Not much would touch that, unless your unlucky enough to meet a vxr

Won't add any value to your motor either, may even make it less attractive for resale. Plus your insurance company wont like it

The Fiesta is a sharp looking car, ought to wipe the floor with the Aveo and its peers once it arrives stateside. Honestly, Ford NA badly needs a hit right now, and seeing how well this car stands up even against already much higher European standards means it should have no problem competing in our dismal subcompact field.

But it's a hell of alot of fun. I was lucky enough to have a ride in one with a stage 1 Supercharger kit which was only running around 220 bhp and by god does it shift!

I'd go for either a stage 2 around 250bhp or a stage 3 with forged internals at around 280 bhp and high boost.

0-60 times on a stage 2 kit are more or less 5 seconds, stage 3 and you'll be sub 5.

Also i wouldnt be selling for a long time if i went down that route. Insurance for supercharger/turbo conversions arent that bad with a specialist company like Greenlight.

I might pop down to Ford today and see if theyve got a ZS in for a test drive.

Went a test drive in a new Fiesta the other day. Unfortunately the salesman wasn't all that forthcoming and we only went around the block which is no use at all. Especially as I am a serious potential cash buyer. He wouldn't go below £13K for a Titanium model even though I can get one through an Internet broker for about £11.5K
The car itself, though,(1.4 TDCI) was pretty good. Incredible steering and handling, excellent gearchange but the diesel was a little noisier than the Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MJ diesel I have already tried but the Fiat didn't have quite have the sharp steering and shift of the Ford.
Still, £13K is far too much when I could get the top spec Fiat for £10.5K !

There are dozens of ford dealers, just try the next one, his loss. I got a 20 minute test drive, including a good stretch of dual carriageway. There is a reason the fiat is cheaper, there absolute rubbish, they look really nice, but my god what a rubbish car, not even test driven one, sitting in it was quite enough. As you say the fords gear change is absolutely superb, not driven many cars that can match it. The fiats gears are 5 miles apart, my 25's gearbox feels much better.

You may be saving 1500 quid but imho you will live to regret it.

It's in Southampton. He's off the Fez ST site, i can get details if your serious about going there and buying one.

He said you'd be able to get one for around £11k.

I will try another Ford dealer. I feel it in my water that you are right about Ford v Fiat, although I wouldn't go so far as saying Fiats are absolute rubbish, just that overall, a Ford would probably be the best buy.
I have owned many both Fords and Fiats in the past and both have their pluses and minuses.
Ford Fiesta pluses over the Punto -
Much better gearchange.
Marginally better steering.
Loads of dealers.
Better colour choice

Punto pluses over the Fiesta-
Five year guarantee.
Less fiddly (if dated) dash.
More space in rear seats.
Smoother, quieter diesel engine.

Just my honest opinion. I agree, the Rover gearchange is better than the Fiat.
