As you can see from the thread you can see where most of the suggestions came from that I mentioned to you. Her who must be obeyed has decree'd that the car must wait until after crimbo. will pop in to the garage in the New Year to arrange for proper diagnosis. Had the car up on the ramp in the motor club today to try and see where the play was you mentioned. if it is that diff then it's got to be a garage job as i dont have the time to do it myself.

Cheers for taking a look yesterday. And Marley, Doug gave up time working on somebody elses car to take mine out and give a provisional diagnosis for nothing. He could have billed me for 30 Mins labour to carry out this work and didnt, so once again Doug Cheers, probably one of the reasons you get so much work from the Station.
Sorry if you thought I was being sarcastic or anything Dan! What I meant was, that the way I read the threads ,was that if the problem wasnt as Doug had suggested then you wouldnt pay anything? Obviously I misread the threads! So no offence was meant!
Last time I phoned a plumber , he said "I will replace the switch, for about £150, but then we will see if that works!!!!! if not we can start on the port valves etc!". Not surprisingly I called another plumber! Stick with Doug, he sounds like a good un!.
