Mine is grinding and sounds awful, been doing it ever since I got the car (last august) so is in dire need of changing! Will try and repair the current one if no decent offers are available.

I think they're around £165 normally, and since they fail at an alarming rate used is not a good option unless extremely cheap.

Not got one, but wanted to add that it doesn't need to be mk2. any zr /25 with the black plastic slit section should work fine. id chance a used one tbh, can pick them up fairly cheaply. i picked up a whole door with working lock for a fraction of the new door lock price.

I just swapped the whole door over! my original passenger door had a two foot long key scratch, locking motor was shot, and it was starting to rust in a strange place. swapping the door fixed the lot
