New phone time.

Finally the end of my contract is coming up (24months with Three) and it is about time my poor old Galaxy S is upgraded, it's had a hard life but has served me well.

Ideally I want a Galaxy SIII, but have lots of options and could even go for the Galaxy S2 and I've heard good things about the HTC One X, I can't make a decision.

Some options:
Upgrade to S3 with another 24month Three contract @ £34pm, free hand set
Buy Sim free S3 hand set and use my Giff Gaff sim @ £10pm + £500 for phone.
Buy used S2 for about £250 + £10pm giffgaff

My work pays me £25pm towards my phone, so either way it doesnt cost me much.

What phones are you guys on at the moment and what would you choose now?

Cheers

p.s. no SteveJobs phones...

I've been considering the Galaxy Note for my next phone (just got a cheap LG android one at the moment). It seems to be about the same price as the SII with a larger screen and faster processor.

Personally I wouldnt go for the Note, because that this is freakishly HUGE.

The S3 is a good phone, and looks miles better than the One X, but having used them both, I preferred the One X, it felt better to hold as with the S3 I felt like I was going to break it haha

One X has a faster CPU too, but the difference is marginal really.

I would say get down to your local phone shop and have a play with them and make your mind up.

You will get all kinds of different answers if you ask other people haha

I just upgraded from my Galaxy S a few weeks back for the S3.

LOVING it!
I know the One-X is similar spec, but I personally prefer the S3 due to its little touches and what not. Can't fault the S3 (Plus the battery is bigger, so lasts longer than the One-X.

I got it Free on a £31/Month contract for 24Months.

I'll be after a new phone next month, currently have a nokia N8, it's been a good phone but i have had enough of the slow symbian os.

Would love a windows phone or an android phone, but it has to be similar to my N8 in size.

The only thing i don't like is these 24month contracts, so want shorter. Any recommendations please. On T-Mobile (want to stay with if possible.)

P.S sorry to the OP for hi jacking the thread.

P.P.S quite like the look of the Nokia lumina, opinions on it please.

Nokia Lumia 900? Seems a logical step from the n8. Improved design and soon to get windows phone 7.8.

The Lumia 800/900 are both awesome phones.
Very well built and feel amazing to use, I LOVE Windows Phone's and have one as my main phone.

Fast no matter what you do with it, Personally I would now wait for the WP8 Phones to start coming out, HTC's look pretty nice that have been leaked, but their WP software support isn't even close to how god nokia's is.
As said above, the 1st and 2nd gen Windows Phones will get updated to 7.8 (gets feature boost and GUI change just like WP8's,) but lacks certain things that the phones physically cant support.

I have an android phone I use every now and again, but mainly for the app's that I have bought on it a couple of years ago when I had it as my main phone haha
