my heater blows warm for a few minutes then goes cold, the temprature gauge is showing normal.
if i leave the heater off for a few minutes and switch it back on again it blows warm again then goes cold?????
ive noticed the coolant level needs topping up after a few miles,, Head Gasket???
could the two be related???
If it has started to go then yes they could be related. It could of course be a blocked heater matrix, water pipe, or the flap for heat is not open properly.
They can do, and it's not uncommon. You could try back flushing the matrix with a hose pipe. Remove both hoses to the heater, put a hose pipe on the engine return hose and try flushing it thru.
