my dad has a 1999 Freelander and he is having a problem with it leaking water as it only seems to leak when the engine is cold when he is topping the water up but after it has been running a few mins it don't seem to be leaking at all so it is very confusing as the temp gauge is as it suppose to be so we dont no what it could be so if you have had the same problem or could suggest what it could be reply to the thread cheers would really apprecaite it
yeh mate it is a 1.8 and i changed the cam belt and water pump last week and cant be leaking from there as the water seems to be on the other side and at the back but true it could be threw contracting but cant seem to source the leak lol
thanks for the reply technozen but its not leaking right at the front of the engine its like at the back below the injection thingy and below the camshaft oil seals near the air filter
thank you mate i think you is right with saying it was the gasket so picked one up and will fit it hopefully 2moz hope that stops the leaking thanks agen mate
