avalon1956 is up and running. Hey we all have to start somewhere.
218 SD Turbo

I have just bought my first Rover, 218 SD Turbo, 1996. One previous owner, in very good condition for its age. I guess only having had one owner since new helps with that.

It runs super but it does have one problem.

The heater doesnt blow out hot or even warm air. I think it is probably an air block or something and I have read about various heater problems on this site over the last couple of days. I want to try to bleed the cooling system and I have a question....

does the 218 sd have a bleed valve anywhere and if so .... where.

many thanks in anticipation.... and before it gets to cold to drive it

re heater etc

Hi mate, what I did with mine is to have it running, heater on hot, blower on, filler cap off and leave it run for 20 mins or so, squeezing pipes. I think there is a bleed nut on the thermostat housing, a 10mm bolt facing the front of the car. Will see if I can see any more and get back to ya.
