i'm fairly sure my gearbox is on its way out, theres a pretty serious whine when its in first (sounds like i'm in reverse) and a little bit in second. I got my clutch changed a while ago but because of time i didn't do it myself and its never been quite right since then, its very juddery sometimes when pulling away and its only getting worse now, is it likely to be the gearbox or the clutch causing this?
If its the clutch i'm probably just going to take it to the garage and get that sorted again as it should still be guarenteed and then i'll just sort the gearbox, if or when it goes.
Its an R65 box btw which i'm find hard to find another one for a decent price so if anyone knows of one going cheap let me know

More often than not whining is caused by the bearings, it's often cheaper to just source a replacement box if that's the case! (unless you are mechanically able enough to strip the box).

Yeah that's what I thought, the rebuild kits cost over £100 and I can't really afford to have it off the road while I rebuild the box, do you think the juddering is more likely to be caused by the clutch or the box?
