Rover 400 dipped beams
My father in law has a 1996 Rover 400 SLi.
Tonight, after stopping for petrol he could only get side lights and main beam at the front when restarting his journey. I have checked the fuses and this is not the problem. Its very unlikely that both bulbs would go together, so what may it be? |

Could be the dim/dip unit (vile pink relay), or it could be that he's had a headlamp out for a long time and not noticed till the other one went.

CHECK THE BULBS FIRST.
I have had both bubls blow simultaneously in similar circumstances, & using the same logic spent hours investigating, only to eventually find 2 blown bulbs!! |

Thanks for the advice. Where is the pink relay?
Why should both bulbs go together? |

Ive had both bulbs go at the same time, in theory it should always happens, you generally fit 2 bulbs of the same type at the same time and use them the same amount
