Thumbs up rover 25 central locking??

hi ive checked through all the threads before i have posted so here goes.
i have bought a rover 25 1.4 advantage 3door, which was crash damaged but fully restored in mint condition . 1 thing i have noticed does this car have central locking??????
i have a key fob 2 put the alarm on/off but seems pretty pointless it not opening the doors
passenger door dont open when i open drivers side either
please help as its really annoying as i tend 2 4get 2 press the fob unlock door then open passenger door
and i dont wana waste money on a central locking kit incase it does have it but its faulty.
any thoughts ?? thanks

The thing you'll find with Rovers is that they're a bit like Robinson's squash - sometimes no 2 are quite the same! My mate and I ordered and paid for 2 (supposedly) identical cars on the same day, and picked them up on the same day when they were delivered. I got fogs, he didn't, I got 4 speakers and a CD tuner, he got a R/Cass and 2 speakers. I got a volumetric alarm, he got the perimetric one.

go figure! (I'm not complaining, though)

hi mate, the way to check is have a look on your passenger door handle and see if there is a lock barrell on the handle. If so then the car dosen't have central locking. This is pretty simple to do as i did it on my r200. You just get the wiring looms and door actuators and boot lock from a scrapped car from the scrappers and jus swap the lock actuators and wiring loom over in the door. Simple but fidely!!! For the boot lock motor you need the pink and orange wire with it. You just plug them into the existing loom and wire it up.
