VVC mechanism

HI despite the dire warnings in the workshop manual has anyone actually stripped and successfully put one of these back together. I do wonder why the manual says 'its not permissable'. I can imagine its complicated, but if man assembled it in he first place (as opposed to some robot)then (some other) man should be able to reassemble it? Terry

The car thats Dr Dave new avatar is my old Vi with a goosed vvc mech, he has dismantled the vvc mech and he reckons he'll have it all fixed and running again very soon.

There was a post by a member not long ago with a step by step guide to stripping it down with pics.
Try a search and you may find it.

Yeah, that's the procedure - but it's quite involved - not the sort of thing I could give concise instructions for.

Project vi should be up and running Friday evening, all being well
