11 Spoke Alloy Wheels or Apex Alloy Wheels?

I currently have the 11 Spoke 18" Alloy Wheels on my car, and unfortunately a couple of them are kerbed. I have been thinking about replacing them with Apex 18" Alloy Wheels as fitted to SE and ZT 260 V8's.

What do you think? What do you think looks best? Apex or 11 Spoke?

I reckon that the 11 spoke are a better match for your silver paintwork. The apex are a smokey colour - I have them on my ZT-T 190SE and they go great with the X-Power grey paint. I don't think that they would look right against the silver.

I have yet to see a set of Apex wheels that have not been kerbed - I even just hit one of my own when in a hurry.

I imagine that somewhere there must be a warehouse full of these wheels that never made it to the production line. If only we could find out where!

I prefer the 11-spoke.

I like them both, but I'd really like a set of Apex wheels for my car, I really like them. Personal choice of course, but I'd be more than happy to swap a set of 11 spokes for a set of Apex, however, as it's not going to happen I shall stick with my 11 spoke set.

I have the Apex on a black v8, they look great as they have a kind of smoked chrome finish.... However, I have only done 5.5k, avoided even slightly kerbing them and yet one of the back wheels is actually de-chroming, not at the wheel edge but down the actual spokes. The other three wheels look fine. This makes me wonder if other people are having this prob with them or is my wheel just had a bad reaction when being finished??

I would agree though, on the light silver cars the 11 spoke looks great.

Cheers

There are a set of 4 Apex's on Ebay at the moment with tyres sitting at £295.00. I've decided not to bid, as I agree that the smokey colour won't go with Silver.

Kerbed alloys

Ian.
Like the look of your 11 spoke and think you are right not to change. Why don't you have the kerbed ones refurbished............. at least before May 28th. ! !

Sadly, I don't think new tyres and the cost of refurbing the wheels is going to be possible - I just hope that a set of 11 spoke Alloys with new tyres will arrive on ebay within my budget to replace the tyres. That'll kill two birds with one stone.

Shame those Axis alloys aren't 11 spoke.

Besides, I'm on the look out for a new DVD Head Unit for the car, so too many things to do, with so little cash.
