Question Getting a Radio Code for a Philips/Rover stereo

Hi there,

The 1994 414 SLi I have just bought came with the newer Philips Radio/Cassette player - the one with RDS. Sadly since the battery was dead it needs its code and there is none that I can find in the car Is there any way to find it out?

No problem try this e-bay link
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-ROVER-RADIO...QQcmdZViewItem

I've used this chap twice Rover 416 and for my present 45, if he can't help you get your money back, you will also get all your other security details (ie how to disarm the alarm using the key etc.)

PM me all the details off the radio - model number, and the serials etc. off the label on the top and I can get you the radio code for free most likely

Thanks for the link - been meaning to get my EKA and key code for a while - £4 for both is a bargain!

Bit concerning anyone can obtain a key code and EKA code though, i.e. everything they need to gain access and disable your immobiliser :|

Argg, sods law - I've just used that ebay auction to get all the details! Probably for the best as I've only got one key for it so it'll be handy to have all the other stuff too. Thanks for the offer though!

Yes that could be the downside if some piece of pondlife gets hold of your
chassis no.

You can't get the key from Rover without proof you own the vehicle.
Theres too many variables for someone to even attempt to break into your car with this information. The risk isn't that high.

Sigh of relief................... at £4 it's good value then. I've used the chap
3 times, the 3rd time he couldn't help he went to great pains to try to get a
radio code but things didn't seem to tie-up correctly, maybe the radio had been replaced. Anyway he refunded straight away.
