Head gasket has gone ! How much to fix ?

Well the car has been loosing coolant on and off for a few weeks now, with white smoke/coolant smell from the exhaust when the car has been on a big run out. Had the coolant pressure tested and bad news.

Now has any body an idea how much this is going to cost, i`m going to get a couple of quotes but i dont want to be ripped off.

Including the HG/head bolts and new cam belt and pump belt labour etc ?

Thanks Ian

Forgot to say its a 1996 220 sdi

I think I posted up asking the same question a month or so ago. It won't be cheap unfortunatly but I think 3-400 quid is typical (new belts, labour, parts etc).

Well i hope i can get it done for around 350 - 400, i`ll be pleased if i can and keep the car.

Loosing a lot of coolant now out of the exhaust (lot of white smoke)
No water in the oil, no oil in the coolant. I think the coolant is going straight into the cylinder.
