I have a new 75 in Australia which comes standard with "driver inteligence pack", trip computer etc. I took the car for a trip up the freeway north of Sydney on the weekend and set the speed alert at 110K/hour which is the speed limit for that road. The alert was not activated untill the speedo registered just under 120K, almost a 10K/hour discrepancy. Has anybody else noticed this and which is correct, the alert or the speedo?

There is a slight delay in the speed limit symbol and chime being sounded by the instrument pack.
To cater for this, perhaps set the limit just a little lower, Alan? If you do, please let us all know how you get on [Edited by Dr Dave on 29-01-2002 at 09:50 AM GMT]

Thanks for the advice, good doctor. My driving is mainly city and burbs so it will be some little time before I am back on a freeway and able to test your suggestion.
