rover 220 sdi

hey got a 220 sdi and i love it. never realised rovers actually look gud with a bit of mods but .... would anybody else fit a performance exhaust to a diesel or is it a bit silly with the sound of the diesel coming out aswel?? and when i got the car the car heater idnt work on all settings one to four. but when i drive on the motor way or at speed u can still feel hot air coming out of vents.... any body know what might be needed to get her working ? thanks

diesels sounds very different to petrols. You get used to it though

For the heater try a search on resistor pack and that should turn up the answers to your heater problem.

Yep i'll second that! Get a Wingy one and you'll have the best rover diesel performance exhaust money can buy and will likely outlast the car to boot!

Cheers, Phil.

can't say from personal experience but from what I've heard here then Wingy is DEFINITELY the way to go.

Gonna get mine (after a Tuneam box) in a couple of months.

Saw a video with a wingy exhaust and sounded proper nice, smoothed out the sound made it sound more like a petrol sort of, nice rumble.

What size was the pipework and what type of box is it?

What engine was it designed for?

The pipe looks bigger than the origional,I dont know what type of box it is all i know is its an oval unsweped one and it will go on petrols probably made for petrols.

You'll need a really big petrol box to fit on a diesel, as the exhasust sizes on a derv are a lot larger than on an equivilent size petrol engine. So if you get an exhaust for a 2 litre petrol car it'll probably strangle a diesel. The minimum pipe size on the diesel is something like 2.5 inches.
