crank timing
to get all the pistons in line half way up the bores which position should the crank be in. IS IT pointing to tdc on the bottom cam cover OR pointing at 12 oclock.

I "think" its at 12 o'clock. However, I remove the pulley that drives the PS pump and alternator belt and use the cam-belt crank pulley instead. It has two dots punched on it - line these up with the mark on the engine.

SORRY its a k-series anyway dont worrie about that as i now know this question BUT i do have another one for you lot.
My cylinder head on the car has no casting number it just says LDF however the one i have to go on the car has a casting number witch is LDF 10233 34mm 1.6/1.8K high port so the question is why does the one on there not have one. it is stamped with 2.2 and a big M JUST WONDERED WHAT THIS WAS |
