What should the ideal "idle" rev be on my 214 Bubble 1997? - MG-Rover.org Forums

As the title suggests...

Mine is running at roughly 1500 after changing the throttle body (admittedly to a used plastic one that I suspect has the same problem as the one I had before - i.e. sticky) - I am getting an alloy one from a guy on here but wondered if I had found another problem.

iirc its between 750-900

thats what mine settles to after several minutes anyway

its something like 850 revs

850 RPM is what the literature says

875 rpm +/- 50 rpm
You need to reset the stepper after fitting a new TB. Key to position 2, push fully and release accelerator 5 times, turn off then start engine.
