scottish newbie

hi peeps,

just a post to say hi and introduce myself.

i'm 23 and have had a rover 620ti for approx 3 1/2 months now.so far i've been blown away by the performance from such a big car, also the fact i did not have to pay much for the car and insurance was a major buying point as well.the car is excellent as standard but the modding bug has started to hit now so any suggestions welcome.

would also be interested in any scottish meets if any planned.

We do mean well when we try to organise meets but it's trying to get everyone in the same place at the same time that seems to cause problems.

However, we'll keep trying and hopefully it will happen eventually.

welcome aboard. I know we've done this before and had polls etc. but where would be the best place for us all to meet up then?

I'm from East Kilbride and I think there are a couple from Hamilton, then you guys are well further north. Gorrieman's from Livingstone as well is he not?

Dont think its the distance for the meet its arranging a time that everyone can manage as it will most likely be at the weekends and people having to work.
Also theres no reason why it couldn't be a regular fixture (a wee run through to the east coast would be nice) and the location could change per meet.
Any comments.

BTW robert look forward to having a peep at your ti what mods have you done

Only problem with the ti is that stock mods are hard to find and they cost only had mine since the summer and with a service must be close to the grand mark been spent on it, but i love it

Thanks col know the site all i meant was that compared to the run of the mill cars trying to get mods for a ti is awkward.
If you try most online retailers ti parts are like gold dust.
e.g. try and get an uprated air filter most other makes are listed but no ti, this usually follows for the rest but you get there in the end

i had the same problem with the vi... "a rover what? is that like a honda v-tech?"

piece of **** now the ZR's are everywhere. It seems for people to know anything about your car, it has to be bright yellow with a big spoiler.

that's half the fun with any car which you cannot get part's for.when you eventually get the part you feel a sense of achievement, the same as if you do a mod yourself instead of paying a garage.if i find anything that may be of interest to you i'll defo post the info here.

Liams right....I'm from Livingston too......Scrub that...I'm from Edinburgh, but live in Livingston.

What colours your TI, and I'll keep an aye out. If you see a red ZT...then don't make an arse of yourself, cos it might not be me....I have seen another ZT kicking about the area now and again.

AG.
