Peter Jones is up and running. Hey we all have to start somewhere.
rover 400 diesel gearbox oil type ?

What oil do we use for the gearbox on a P Reg 400 diesel model I contacted the rover dealer and they said they use engine oil.Surely this is not right can anyone tell me what to use and where to get it.I understand it is a special oil ( how convenient eh? ).

Thanks Pete

10w40 engine oil is ok as a top-up, but MTF-94 is the right oil; especially if you are doing a gearbox oil change
