Car Tax Bands - Rover 75 1.8T

Mods - sorry if this is in the wrong area. Please feel free to move.

As I no longer have a 64 mile round commute - I am looking at buying a car I really want.

Been toying with a Rover 75. I have had MG Rover cars before so yes I know what I am letting myself in for.

As a consequence my local Skoda dealer has offered me a 53 reg 75 Con 1.8T for a reasonable price - but what I need to know what tax band is this car in - is it going to be a 400 a year car - or something a little less demanding?

If it ever shows up on there.
Right on the front of the forecourt sandwiched between a 55 CDTI and a 55 A4 .
I expected it to be round the back with the rest of the trade cars on the same plate, evidently it's too good for that.

Exactly my thoughts - and why my ZS180 has a new owner now.
400+ a year to tax my car? I don't think so Mr Brown.
Find some other way of paying for your wars and incompetant economic policies.

all cars from 2001 are taxed on emissions so as you are looking at a 2003 then yes it is likely you will be paying a higher tax band reckon between 2-300 a year.
