Thats the limited edition BRM based on the 1.8 VVC, looks like a standard one.

That Matt is a Rover 200 BRM limited edition. Only 700 odd were produced.
The BRM came with the 1.8VVC engine (like the Vi) but also had red leather interior, orange front grill (think this can be bought from best of british) and alot of other nice touches. www.roverbrm.co.uk should give you more info.
As for the wheels they were standard rover Brm alloys and sometime are up for sale on the forum.

Yes it is a lovely car and is on my list to be my very next car

Andy.

That is the prototype BRM used at its motorshow launch (AFAIK). The production car doesn't have the front bib ( although I wish it did ) the orange grill is slightly different (a bit more prominant). Other than that I think it is the same as the production version.

I notice that this version also has its orange removed from the lences. Was this done by Rover at launch if this was the pre production?

The indicator lenses are orange as standard on the production models. Beats me why though Surely they could see from the prototype that they look so much better clear.

Garages
the wheels are the 16ins 'cosmos' alloys.

i agree that these are the best looking alloys for the 200/25.

they are also fitted to the rover 45 impression s saloon models as standard.

The owner of the car may be the guy who did an article on de-oranging the headlights, if I remember rightly, it was a BRM he had, because it was green.

It would be a nice to car to keep, and take into a classic, with only 700 odd made
I like them, and the interior too, although not everyones cup of tea.
Its like the 600's only around 300,000 were produced in the 6 year span, so fairly small amount there, thanks to http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/

Regards

off topic

May it interests you...
the car at the back is another BRM which raced at Le Mans and got 11th out of the lot, I guess. It is the only turbine car ever entered for Le Mans and see my signature below for the spec:
