MGTF Central locking not working

Hi all

I have an issue with my new MGTF 04 plate, the central locking wont work, I press alarm button and lights flash but does not unlock the doors! When I use the car only one door unlocks, anyone got any ideas?

Cheers
Ben

Is it a 115? As if so they don't have CL (except on some of the special editions)

What model and engine do you have in your TF?

Hi yes its a TF115 sunstorm, on the spec it says it does have CL with full closure alarm!

I have now got the central locking working off the drives side door key motor ceased but does not work on passengers side I know in previous model cars I have had that the central locking only works off the drivers side as this is the master unit. Is this the same with the MGTF? Alarm still not working tho with CL! Is there an interface unit? Could this be faulty?

Yup, the door should NOT have a lock barrel for a key (if it came as standard) and if you look at the striker plate in the door it should NOT be white.

MG TF Central LOCKING

You are not alone. I've a very similar problem. My TF Sunstorm (03 Plate) the door locks sounded as if they only opened halfway , if I tried the Key it would jam in the lock. For a time I had to disconnect the battery then unlock the doors with the key. Now the drivers door will lock on the fob, but not unlock and the passenger door is permanently locked. Anyone have any ideas with this. I do not even know how to take off the door cover.
I'd appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Chris

Is the door switch broken ie the one that puts the light out on the dash. Broke one on my 416 years ago, it would only lock on key until fixed, don't think the alarm armed either.
