alarm aerial wire

Has anyone got pictures of where i can find it?
spent a good 45mins looking behind the triangular panel on the passengers side with no luck.

Yep, look for yellow wire neatly tucked within the wiring loom behind the passenger triangular footwell panel.

My yellow wire was tightly fitted into the loom, I didn't want to pull it to hard in case I damaged it so just connected an extra length onto the bit I could see - a bit like a spur - fob range is so much better

I wonder how much wire you can add? A decent amount snaked up and behind the air bag blank might do wonders!

So the bit you used, what was at the end? was it sealed?

I haven't, I've found a yellow wire in the vicinity, but too thick for a receiver wire, possibly the srs system, thought it best to leave that alone !!

Yes thats what I saw(had a quick look about a year ago), it seems to go into the heater control box, but the srs ecu is just behind the CC so thats were it must ends up.

i found mine went straight to the alarm ecu and found it. i only seem to have about 15cms looks like someone cut it

That's the right length, the keyfobs work on 433MHz and 15cm is about a quarter of a wavelength of the radio wave... main thing is to try and keep it away from other wires to get a better signal.
