Red face Hi Folks...

Just thought I'd say hi... as probably the polite thing to do, seeing as I'll no doubt be picking all your brains in the near future

I've just gone out on a limb, and and bought myself an MG ZT V6 190+ <-- catchy name eh

Of which I'll be taking ownership on Saturday, and saying goodbye to my long time friend the Impreza (sniff).. now I've been a little (or rather blindly) impulsive and not been as fastidious as I might have been ordinarily when I was at the showroom earlier, so I've had those uneasy feelings of dread, and an oh my god what have I done sensation most of the evening!

So I've tootled along here for a bit of moral support as it were... please tell me I've done the right thing...lol

Anyway.. brief note about the car, it's a 2003 model with 35K miles on the clock, looked in remarkably good condition both inside and out, vastly superior to any of the others I've looked at (superficially that is). To be quite honest I think I got quite a good deal.. and it was sold with indemnity that all the HPI, VMC etc stuff is good.

Took it out for a drive, and while obviously it's not an Impreza I was surprised at the car's abilities, and it's nice to have some grunt AND refinement

So anyway... Hi folks

Welcome Swampster, sounds like the zT sold itself to you which is the best feeling mate. Lots of stuff on here, keep posting up your pregress and when you pick it up Saturday....
Where you from, is it local to Somerset then could look out for it on the roads (many put a location in their User CP, but is up to you).
All the best, Dave (Somerset)

Ah right thanks Dave, will post along when I pick her up, with maybe a few piccies.. so you experts can cast your eye over it and let me know what's what..

I'm a bit further north than Somerset though.. up in picturesque South Yorkshire, so I doubt you'll be seeing me driving around any time soon... that is unless I'm totally smitten with it and can't stop driving
