Exclamation Fiat Puntos and Salt don't mix well

"Salt on the roads to stop icing is likely at this time of year, but it's having an adverse affect on the original Fiat Punto. The firm is recalling cars because of possible corrosion of the brake pipes, cutting stopping efficiency."

"corrosion of the brake pipes, cutting stopping efficiency".......... That's reassuring! A bit of salt on the roads, and bang goes your brakes!

Also complete rubbish.

The pipes may be corroding quicker than they should, probably to MOT failure levels. Until it corrodes through and you lose all braking, the efficiency won't be affected at all.
