HELP! Engine management light on this morning

Just posted a lovely post about how a garage fixed everything on my ZS180. Got in the car this morning on a damp cold morning and engine management light has come on. Car is seems every so slightly bit stuttery at times on low revs, seems to pull ok. is the only way to find out whats on is plug into diag? What does engine management light cover, is it things like sensors? Over the past 8 months the centre section exhaust had completely rusted out from the backbox (loud as ****) for MOT yesturday has had a new centre section. so i GUESS maybe there is a sensor in the middle section thats gone bad?, missing? or maybe its because the car has been driving so long with hardly any exhaust its thrown the ECU now its all fixed? Either way the car was fine all yesturday afternoon and evening. then light came on on startup this morning.

covers lots of things. diagonstics should tell you what the ecu thinks has a fault.

Hi,

Seeing that you're in Devon, is there any chance that visit the north of the County? I have a scanner that you are welcome to use. The general rule seems to be that a steady warning light is OK to drive. If it's flashing, it's time to stop.

not somewhere easy to get to!

if you look up from underneath the engine, the crank sensor is just above the RHS cv joint (engine/ex manifold side).

you may be able to get to it from above, follow the starter motor to the g/box, the other side of that and a few inch downwards, its there!
possibly easier with the top half of the inlet manifold removed.
