Looks like a far less dull version of the new TT to me, fantastic looking thing. Although far too expensive for something which, at the end of the day, is French, and therefore will not last long before something falls off of it.

Probably wouldn't stop me having one though.

Lightweight, front wheel drive, 1.6 engine. Hmmmm

Purposeful but definitely not pretty.

What does that remind me of?

Trouble is the world and his brother has a TT these days dont they...... not exclusive anymore. I think these look as good, if not better and they cost less than the Audi so if you were in the market for that kind of coupe you'd have to give it serious consideration. Not really my cup of tea tho...

They do look good in the flesh, but 200bhp from a 1.6 turbo is asking too much for longer term durability - perhaps better with a 2.0 turbo and 'tuning options'.

A good TT alternative . . . . . if it can last without breaking.

it's not cheap, from £20k to £25k- you could get a year old tt for that, it's not special enough, looks too like the 308cc and that's the problem, they have tried so hard to get an identity, that all Peugeots look the same

When I first saw it, front on, I thought it was a 308cc, not knowing they made the 308 rcz, but it wasn't until it came past I realised it was something else!

I passed one tonight in the charcoal colour , very nice looking car imo and nicer looking than the current TT ..speaking of which I shall take this opportunty to go off on a ronnie corbett style tangent

I saw a matt black R8 in kendal the other day , what the hells that all about then ? even the usually contrasting panel on the rear quarter was matte black and the wheels as well , is it some kind of special edition or just a case of more money than taste ? andy

Can say that for every brand, though. All Audi's look alike (and they're all grey!), all fords look alike, same with vauxhall, renault, seat, VW, BMW, Merc..... You get my point.

Personally, I like it! Shame it's built by cheese-eating, poor-build-quality-and-will-break-all-the-time monkeys, though. Stick a Rover badge and a T16 Turbo in it, and i'll reconsider!

I learned a bit about the RCZ at Goodwood today......

Feels like a £30k+ car when you sit in it - nice leather seats, trim, etc. Better appointed than a TT.

A practical coupe - 2+2 with a HUMUNGOUS boot. More practical than a TT.

Looks good in the flesh. Looks better than a TT.

Drives better than any other Peugeot (any other French car) that I've driven. Drives better than a TT.

All for a tad more than the top-of-the-range MG6 is likely to cost - or about the same as a higher spec Civic.

What's not to like?

It is French and will [most likely] fall apart in a relatively short time. I won't be in the market for anything like that for the foreseeable future so I guess it does not matter.

Anyway it looks all hairdresserey

Saw a white one round here the other day. It's OK I guess.

Tbh I'd have no issues at all buying a Peugeot, my dad has had a few, and put huge mileage on them with no issues whatsoever.

Renaults on the other hand, I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

I owned a Renault 19, TBH it only let me down once (which is probably too much) when a core plug failed. I did drive it with little regard to any maintenance and care. I binned it in the end when a slave cylinder made it difficult to stop one morning on the way to work. Got good use out of it though it was an awful car to drive and look at.

I would not buy another French car, and I suppose it is wrong to judge the many by the few and hearsay. However it is my money so I can

Lot of R25 owners on here slating Peugeot / RCZ

If Rovers/MG's were so good then MGR would still be around in it's previous form. Peugeot are still around and I speak from experience of both marques.
