Technical advice required please:
2007 Freelander 2 HSE Td4 Front passenger side electric window - when you raise the window to close it it will then automatically power down to 2/3 open. You can close the window by using the switch to gradually close it in short stages. Does it from NS door switch and drivers (OS) door switch. Any advice would be welcomed. I have to add this is the first problem I have had with the car since new - but as usual the warranty has recently expired. The two Freelanders before that also had no problems. Thanks AL Doh! - don't know how I managed to post in Website feedback - I would be grateful if Mods could move to Landrover section!!!! Last edited by Alastair; 11-02-2011 at 08:35. |

Sounds like a faulty motor or regulator, get it checked out at a garage or the dealer.

Thanks for the reply Steven.
I did a bit of research and the answer turned out to be in the owners Manual. There is a re-set/overide procedure - you try and close the window 3 times and on the 3rd time you hold the up switch for 10 second and all is sorted. One to note for other owners and a reminder for me to RTBM :-) Probably caused by opening the window when iced up. Freelander is back to 100% reliability over 3 years - not bad me thinks. AL |
