That's my plan, a 25 04 mk1 or a 04+ mk2. Better insurance, even better than a mk1 25 of a 52 plate!

I've told you my thoughts, get the few bits done to get it through an MOT, tidy the cosmetics slightly and stick it on Ebay for double what you paid for it.

Things like tyres shouldn't be an issue, just wear and tear items that eventually need replacing on any car.

Well yeah, but it's the clutch which is the biggest problem for the car, and the front bumper.

I appreciate your opinion and views, but I guess I'll shop around, see what prices are out there. I think I can still make a little profit to what I payed for it anyway. As long as I can get £320+ from breaking I'm in pocket.

Front bumper just needs securing properly to pass an MOT, if it's flapping about and the sides sticking out that's your issue there.

True. But again, it's money to fix that. Even if I were to get it a full MOT, how much would I likely get from it?

At least double what you paid.

I'll look at all my options closely before making a decision.

I've decided to keep the car now!

The point of a project is to learn and take time! So the car is to be repaired by me! and hopefully fellow members on areas I need help!
