Talking key fob

hello all, i only have one key for my 75 and the plastic above the unlock bit broke away. can i replace the lid on the fob (the one who come off when you change the battery) whit another one from any key? thanks all,Viorel

In principle yes, but the part of the case that includes the buttons also includes the blade. Your best bet is to buy a new empty case, have the blade cut as a copy of your old one then transfer the internals to the new case.

This is exactly what I did and it cost 6 to get the new blade cut. I now have a "spare" key to get me into the car if I lock the real one in the boot accidentally.

I have bought some key fobs minus the key blades as the only thing wrong with my keys was the rubber button bits.
Local ex MGR dealers over here in Australia wanted $500 for a whole new key which they reckoned they had to get from the UK!!! The fobs cost me just under $100 AUD for 3 !!!!! from the UK.
All you need to do is change the rubber bits over.

It's interesting that the fob displayed on the link I posted now shows a removable blade. The one I purchased from them had a fixed blade, same as my original, so I had to get the blade cut.
