Purchased a kit from B&Q today. Will put it up at the weekend and will let you know how I get on.
Oh I got a signal meter from e-bay too. Just a few quid. |

F1 channel will be available for Virgin Media users. You will of course need to subscribe to all of Sky Sports currently about £20+ I think.

That means payback for buying the dish from B&Q - 2 Months. And no money for Sky!

Well put the dish up today, nearly went well but one of the wall anchors didn't work too well. Never mind. I spent 10 mins aligning the dish and quickly found Hotbird 6,8 and 9. It was getting dark and I was getting hungry so I have left it pointing there for now. It is quite easy really. The dish is large so I am glad it is at the back of my house but it can find satellites quickly and the quality is good. The STB they give you can do HD too. Amazing value for £50.

Do ensure any channel you want is FTA. ORF1 is not, nor is Dutch TV with its excellent ad-free F1 coverage. From your link RTL Schweiz is FTA but the other Swiss ones are not. EDIT looks like F1 is on the State broadcaster in Switzerland and so not FTA there on Hotbird... http://www.sport.sf.tv/Nachrichten/A...t-bei-Williams

Looks like I will be pointing to 19E then for Astra 1H etc. It is actually a doddle to do. The hardest thing was the wall plugs. I suppose I was lucky to have a south facing wall.
This utility is amazing! http://www.dishpointer.com/ |

I used to be able to get RTL on my Android tablet, but the app doesn't seem to do the channel any more.
