Thumbs up Arkadiy from Ukraine.

Hi all. My name is Arkady and I'm from Ukraine. I live in Kharkov.
I am the owner of the car brand MG550. I am very happy with my car. Bought it in December 2011. Now mileage is about 10,000 km.

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Glad you like your MG. How has your ownership experience been so far?

Privet Arkadij!

Glad to see some members from eastern Europe with MG/Rovers, there are not many of them, especialy with new MGs.

And could you do a favour for us - can you remove plastic engine cover from your 550 or 6 and make some photos from each side?

By the way, are you only the owner of MG cars or are you the owner of the company which sells new MG cars in Ukraine?

Thanks!

OK! remove the cover and make pictures for you.

And just as I am the owner of the forum and the MG Club in Ukraine.
Our club still young. He appeared in the January 2012

The colour on the wood effect trim around the handbrake / centre console is lovely.

i havent seen that before, i agree that does look good, like how on a 3 series dare i say it, the wood looks better than the metal. shame about the rather stuck on looking badge on the front though.

Thats pretty much because it is, the car is a Roewe 550 with MG badges sold to other foreign countries, unlike having the MG6 hatch and saloon version here. The 550 front was not designed to take the MG octogon.

as each model is facelifted, this is improving TBH. The 550 was designed as a Roewe only but its skin is pretty much identical to a 2012 Magnette. The effect was far more "post it" on the first models!

why not just put the MG6 front end on then making all MG's the same rather than this rather half arsed approach! then they can leave the autobox and the interior the same to suit different markets? the facelifts may redress this, but they have the tools to do this now...

The MG6 and MG550 are different cars with the MG6 being the more sporty, hence in some countries you have a choice. Eg. Chilie has both available: http://www.mgmotors.cl/index.asp

the only variant of the MG550 is a saloon. I think it's fair to say that, in countries such as Chile and Algeria, the MG6 is a liftback only.

(Chile) (second and third photos, "EXTERIOR")

(Algeria)

I AM wondering if there is one country out of the 36 which has both MG6 saloon and MG550. I have been concentrating on "where can you get the MG3?"...

I think there is only one country where you can get an MG6 Magnette and any sort of 550.
