changing rear brake pads

just a quick one really my rear brake pads are down to metal. going to be changing them tomorrow, will i need a wind back tool?

I use a bit of flat bar. They need to be wound back in not pressed back in.

Yep i just did this at the weekend, the piston has a large cross in the face, use a steel ruler or somthing to turn them clockwise.
Also remember to slacken the handbrake adjuster back to its stop (a nut on the back of the actual handbrake) and readjust once the job is finished.
If the pads really are down to metal then you will need new discs too!
