ZS engine gives me some trouble

Evening Dave,

I cleaned my JR panel replacement filter on the ZS today. When opening the air-box, I found the filter covered in oil. At the bottom of the airbox, was some more oil. The hose connecting the airbox to the throttle body also got a lot of oil inside. I cleaned everything and I had to top up the oil level. The car now has 12000 km on the clock. After the running in, I had the car serviced first at 1500 km. The car is booked in for the next service on Thursday. I know that some oil vapours, instead of going into a catch tank, are run back from the engine to the inlet manifold to be burnt by the engine. But the amount of oil I found today leaves me wondering. With the recent problems some owners had with their ZS180, I'm a bit afraid. Can you explain me what happened here. Thanks.

Cheers...
Pascal

It's nothing to worry about......it affects all 180's to some extent.

Paul - When is your service due?
