Stereo/electrics Problem?? - MG-Rover.org Forums

HI there! Just joined the forum so "hi all",

i know nothin bout cars/I.C.E so dont point and laugh 2much! anyways ... dunno whats up with my stereo, when i turn it on itll play for a little while then random speakers will die and ill be left in silence. for a while it was fine then it got back into old habits now it just plays for bout 2seconds then front speakers drop out and .5 of a sec later the back speakers die. Its rate annoyin.
Did find something quite strange when it worked ok for a few days if i turned the back window heater on it would drop the front speakers out leavin just the back speakers playin then when i turned the heaters off it all kicked back in. which mate me think its an electrics problem. any ideas?

i did smash my back brakelight cluster which let it a bit of water could that be cause of the problem, think it was a while afta the problem began?
