yey!!

goin to pick car up 2mora, cost was £340 to fit 8 new vavles n cambelt, but we're goin 1/2s, so its like £170 its gona cost me
doesnt sound too bad, does it?
is 340 about right for a new cambelt and 8 new vavles (inc. Labour), as he says it usually costs around £100 to do a cambelt on its own. Spose im lucky, cudve been a lot worse ive heard
Cheers
dave

now i can get rid of this metro once and for all

Pretty good price all in all. It usually costs around the £300 mark to get the Head gasket failure repaired.

Keep an eye on the temperature guage for a few weeks to make sure there are no air locks in the system.

Dave - that was bloody cheap m8!

To replace 8 exhaust valves with us would be the thick end of £550!

A new head gasket would be required anyway Dave!

I *hope* it was the new style gasket with steel dowels...

Yeah, you'll be fine with an old style one - are there any old ones still out there I wonder?

Sorry Dave, but there is no way of telling externally what gasket you have had fitted or indeed the prescence of the steel dowels.
