Anyone got a spare working injector?

Just an off chance if anyone has a working injector kicking around for a diesel. Thinking of trying swapping injectors out to see if it an injector issue on my ZTT. Don't really want to buy one at the moment due to cost, I also don't want to take them all out and send then off to be checked at the moment as the car is currently off road sorned but I will need to move it around the car park so want it still running. I can cover postage if anyone has one they don't need and or send it back once I have had chance to swap them out one by one. Worth a try maybe. I have not given up completely yet on it, might hang on to it if I can get it all sorted as a second car maybe.

I've bought a second hand one off eBay for just 12 quid so worth a try at that price, if it's goosed I'll be able to get my money back anyway. Might help confirm if I have injector issues or not.

I'm glad your not losing complete faith in it. Just replaced the clutch master cylinder on mine with a Tazu one, but pedal is going weird again, so its def the slave goosed. Its only been in two years. Been a depressing few days.

Both of my replacement slaves didn't last that long a matter of months for me.

So are the LUK ones the best?

Hi Simon,

Do you remenber it was 5 years ago !

Have you done a analysis ? what was wrong with them ? was the seals damaged ?

Now yet dismantled mine but i have found on the top ,lot of play around the pipe .

(the metal one is smaller than the genuine plastic one) .
And i guess with the engine vibrations , lot of stresses are sent to the
connection slave side . may be producing some micro air ingress ?
I have no loss of fluid but pedal to floor.

What do you think about it ?

Tomorrow,i 'll know more ...

No idea Mike, was it really 5 years ago?

The first slave had come apart in transit and I foolishly put it back together and fitted it. The second one seemed OK and was fitted but soon had pedal trouble.

Hi Bud,

I thought I'd get the other one as a spare but the sellers upped the price to £30.

How did it go did you get a chance to swap them over.

Just dismantled the clutch slave ... no apparent leak of fluid ...

That leaves me perplex .....

Indeed perplexing Mike. I wonder is your fluid black and has contamination in it? I'm wondering if as you say its not a fluid leak but detritus blocking the pipe passageways or as you say air entering somewhere and an airlock.

Smile Last news

Today master leak test and guess what ::::Big bubbles

So ,quick fit disconnected and hard pedal means NOTHING .

Then,i have dismantled the beast ...very simple and easy :

You have a grey seal looking correct ? and another small one Under a
little spring playing as a valve .

Observing with à magnifier a have found something very interesting

Next, decided to clean it simply and..

Then ,reassemby and testing again and....

I dare say ,i'm fairly satisfied having found the reason WHY

All comments are welcome

Mike

Interesting Mike, I might whip my master off and check it over at some point although if I do have a leak I suspect it will be the slave again maybe in my case. Injector picked up from sorting office today so might see about trying that tomorrow depending on the weather.

Not sure, the débris stick more easily on a flat seal (master) .

In the slave, there is less risk ;they are blade shaped
like on brakes .

The problem is to find how to clean it in situ !!!!!

Maybe regular changing of the fluid Mike, so that the debris is flushed out before it has a chance to build up?

i think so too ,but to be efficient, the valve must be open while flushing..
this infamous seal.

don't see how to...

Or fit a Tazu which seems different:
