opel speedster

i am finding the opel speedster event impossible for some reason! i have a turbo which has been tuned up to 250hp but when i start the race it comes up with 200 a-spec points, and im like 'wtf??'. the other cars, which are mainly the NA speedsters leave me for dead. is it a glitch on my game?

i just stuck a turbo on it. i didnt want to spend too much on it cos for the manufacturer events i just sell the cars after theyre done. i thought cos it was RWD it could handle the power without further mods. i did the exact same for the lotus event with the elise and it worked fine! i hope its not a fault with my mem card or anything, ive done 63% and i cant bear the thought of starting again

in the majority of manufactuer events the aI cars are only slightly tuned, in a couple though they have max tuning.

I'm having the same problem, one off and I'm history. I have also noticed the boost drops off loads higher up the rev range, can I do anything to keep it boosting all the way to the redline. I have all the turbo specs you can get and it does it with all of them.

Iv'e completed the speedster series, I used the Turbo version. I did'nt do much tuning to it. I got beaten off the line by them all but then would catch them up as the race progressed. I will check the tuning I did tonight. You win a fairly good car, I havent tried it yet though.

Opel Speedster Turbo

The Opel Speedster I used was tuned to 332 bhp, it had the racing exhaust & air filter fitted, racing brakes kit, port polish, racing chip, NOS, Stage 3 turbine kit(turbo), large racing intercooler, semi racing suspension kit, racing medium tyres and to cap off the slight mods it had the stage 1 weight reduction work done to it.

It would have been embarrasing if I couldnt win with all that!

well gave it go last night, got admit to ya, I started the frist race with minimal Mods, just added Soft racing tyres and lightened her up a bit, I think I remaped it and added some suspension to hold her into the corners, and first race got first, gave a little giggle and thought what the fuss was about, tried the second race and started to see the power difference in other cars.

Anyone attempting this one, go for the normal car and not the turbo, you can always stick a turbo on it later, get soft tyres as the most laps you will do is 4, they will last. that should be your first mod, after that just work on your acceloration rather than your speed

No prize for 75% game completion. IIRC of course. I'm just under 90% and getting a bit bored.
